21/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - Attending a meeting of ASEM (EU-South-east Asia dialogue) transport ministers on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 October (see EUROPE 10002), China's transport minister Li Schenglin said China was prepared to take an active role in solving transport problems between the two continents. He said China is interested in liberalisation and a speeding up of freight transport links between the EU and China because the EU is China's biggest trading partner. (A.By./transl.fl)
