Brussels, 22/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - At the Justice and Home Affairs Council on Friday 23 October, European justice ministers will adopt new measures to better protect the rights of accused persons in criminal proceedings. Ministers, who will meet in Luxembourg for one day only, will approve the agreement in principle on this proposal designed to harmonise the right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings throughout the EU.
