22/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 20 October, the WTO General Council, which brings together the ambassadors of the 153 member countries, agreed the organisational details of the organisation's 7th Ministerial Conference, which will take place in Geneva from 30 November to 2 December. The General Council elected Chilean Trade Minster Andrés Valasco to chair the conference. It also agreed that, alongside the plenary session, two working sessions are to be held, one, on 1 December, to be given over to assessment of WTO activities, including the Doha work programme, and the other, the following day, to consider the WTO contribution to economic recovery and development.
