30/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - It's official: Maroš Šefèoviè (Slovakia's current permanent representative to the EU) will be the next Slovakian commissioner, as of this Thursday 1 October. He will replace Ján Figel, who has accepted a new role on the political scene in his country. Mr Šefèoviè will also take over his predecessor's portfolio (Education, Training, Culture, Youth).
