Commission to strengthen policy against human trafficking

Brussels, 20/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - Human trafficking continues to be a crime with few risks, but one which can bring huge profits. On the second European Day against Human Trafficking on Saturday 18 October, the European Commission announced new measures to encourage member states to tackle this crime which affects more than 500,000 people in Europe and brings in several billion euro for the traffickers.
