Challenges ahead for next President of EBRD

Brussels, 05/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - The candidate appointed by the EU Finance Ministers (EUROPE 9615), German Thomas Mirow, has every chance of becoming the next President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in July. It is up to the Board of Governors, which is made up of 63 of the bank's shareholders, to endorse this choice at its meeting in Kiev on 18 and 19 May, but the post, which is currently occupied by Frenchman Jean Lemierre, is traditionally reserved...
