05/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - The chairman of the European Parliament environlmental and public health committee, Czech MEP Miroslav Ouzky (EPP-ED), accompanied by ECDC director Dr Zsuzsannna Jakab, attended the opening of the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in Stockholm on Tuesday 4 March. The EOC will monitor developments in any health emergency as they occur 24 hours per day, seven days per week. (O.J.)
