Commission calls on Member States to do more to prevent child disappearances

Brussels, 05/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - On the occasion of the European Forum for the Rights of the Child on Tuesday 4 March in Brussels, the Justice Commissioner Franco Frattini called on Member States to support more initiatives against disappearances and paedophilia, such as alert systems inspired by the “kidnapping alert” in place in France.
