30/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Latvian president, Vaira Vike-Freiberga, signed the treaty on the Latvian-Russian border. A Latvian press agency explained that the lower chamber at the Russian parliament (Duma) is planning to vote on this treaty at the end of June. The border treaty was signed on 27 March in Moscow by the Latvian prime minister, Aigars Kalvitis and his Russian counterpart, Mikhail Fradkov. (hb)
