European Commission authorises Dutch State aid for encouraging development of inland waterway transport

Brussels, 30/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission authorised Dutch state aid which aims to encourage the development of inland waterway transport by improving the technical characteristics of inland navigation vessels. The aid has a total budget of €0.6 million and concerns the research and the economic feasibility of the project developing a new type of ship called "the CompoCaNord".
