22/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - German Christian Democrat MEP Hans-Gert Pöttering, leader of the EPP-ED group in the European Parliament, has described as “shameful” the execution of three Catholics condemned to death in Indonesia for having taken part in disturbances in 2000. Mr Pöttering had previously written to the Indonesian President to call for the sentence not to be carried out.
