Günter Verheugen consults defence industry on ways to improve competitiveness of European defence industry

Brussels, 25/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - In the context of the communication on the European defence industry that the European Commission is preparing for the end of this year, the vice-president of the European Commission, Günter Verheugen, met European business leaders and various other players from the defence sector in Brussels on Monday 24 April in order to examine how to step up competitiveness in this sector.
