25/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European institutions have condemned the bomb attack which caused a large number of victims in Dahab in Egypt on Monday evening. “This was yet another bloody attack to hit Egyptian civilians and foreigners. When will this barbarity finally come to an end? How can anyone claim to defend a clause while killing innocent people in the process? Nothing and nobody will ever be able to justify such acts”, European Parliament President Josep Borell said in a press release, adding: “Terrorism is the mark of the weak and the European Union will continue to use every means possible to fight against it”. The EU High Representative for CFSP, Javier Solana, also energetically condemned the attack and expressed his solidarity with “the government and the people of Egypt, as well as to all European Governments whose citizens were killed or injured”.
