25/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - At the Representation of the Lower Silesia Region in Brussels on 24 April, MEP Bronislaw Geremek (ALDE, Poland), President of the Foundation Jean Monnet for Europe, presented their certificates to “European Policies” Masters students from the Universities of Strasbourg and Wroclaw. “The future of Europe depends on education,” Mr Geremek, a former Polish Foreign Minister and leader of the Solidarity union, told the students from France and Poland. “The Europe which was built by the generation that lived through the war and dictatorships is increasingly in the hands of young people, and the army of Erasmus students is a real force able to fight for Europe,” he said. Europe is in crisis and it is time to re-define the European project, in the opinion of Mr Geremek, who told the young graduates: “It is in your hands. You mustn't just reflect on the future of Europe, you have to work to build Europe”.
