Steering Board of European defence agency prepares entry into force of future EU code of conduct

Brussels, 11/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - The National Armaments Directors meeting on 7 April within the Steering Board of the European Defence Agency (EDA) approved a series of measures to support the voluntary Code of Conduct which will take effect on 1 July 2006. The Code, on which EU defence ministers reached an agreement in November 2005, aims to open the European defence procurement market up to competition.
