11/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 4 April, the European Commission issued a call for tenders for three studies on violent radicalisation. The first will be devoted to factors which could trigger or affect violent radicalisation processes, particularly among young people. The second will deal with the beliefs, ideologies and narrative of violent radicals. The third study will look at the methods through which violent radicals mobilise support for terrorism and find new recruits. The Commission is allocating 150,000 euro for each of the studies. The time-limit for the receipt of tenders is 24 April. (Further information: http: //europa.eu.int/comm/justice_home/news/tenders/news_tenders_048784_en.htm).
