Brussels, 15/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 15 March, Denmark announced that it had, for the first time, detected the H5 strain of bird flu in a wild buzzard. Samples have been sent to the Community reference laboratory in Weybridge, United Kingdom, to determine whether or not it is the highly pathological H5N1 strain of the virus. The Community laboratory has also confirmed the H5N1 strain in two wild ducks found dead in Sweden. Denmark could, therefore, become the eleventh EU country...
