Adoption of Passilinna report on “information society for growth and jobs”

Strasbourg, 15/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday afternoon MEPs adopted the report by Finnish Socialist Reino Paasilinna on “An information society for growth and jobs” by a show of hands. The vote was preceded by a debate in which Commissioner Viviane Reding took part (Head of information society and media) and during which representatives from the different political groups gave their opinions, such as Ms Teresa Riera Madurell (PES, Spain) for the women and equal rights committee...
