European elected representatives in Italian opposition call on Commissioner Mandelson to review his proposals regarding shoe imports

Strasbourg, 15/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - Four members of the Italian opposition meeting within L'Unione explained to reporters on Tuesday evening why they were calling on Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson to review proposals made on 23 February after dumping practices had been noted in relation to Chinese and Vietnamese exports of leather footwear (see EUROPE 9151 for plenary debate).
