Presence of avian flu virus is confirmed in Romania and virus in Turkey is H5N1 strain as in Asia

Brussels, 13/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - The presence of an avian flu virus comprising H5 protein was confirmed in Romania during Wednesday night but complementary testing on the other protein, carried out by the Community Reference Laboratory (CRL) in Weybridge, should allow it to be determined whether it is the H5N1 strain or not.
