IUPT calls on people not to use their cars during EUropean Mobility Week

Brussels, 16/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - The International Union of Public Transport (IUPT) is encouraging the citizens to use European Mobility Week to try using public transport instead of their cars, given that users of public transport consume 3.5 times less energy than car drivers. The objective of this week, which runs from 16 to 22 September, is sustainably to convert users to modes of transport which pollute less and use less energy.
