Zaborska report calls on Member States for measures to ensure disadvantaged women have access to housing, healthcare and education

Brussels, 16/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's Committee on Women's Rights and Equal Opportunities adopted on 15 September the own-initiative report by its chairperson, Anna Zaborska (EPP-ED, Slovakia) on “women and poverty in the EU”. The report will be discussed during plenary on 12 and 13 October in Brussels as a prelude to the World Day to Overcome Extreme Poverty which is held each year on 17 October.
