Commission launches consultation to improve capacity, efficiency and safety of airports

Brussels, 16/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Commission intends to examine shortcomings in landing and taking-off capacities of European airports, by launching a consultation of airlines, airports, air service providers and all players in the aviation sector. In this way, the Commission hopes to gather reflections on measures which would help to tackle congestion and the current and future lack of runway capacity, taxiing areas and airport terminals on the ground, which have a negative impact...
