Franco-German Europe of Kohl-Mitterrand variety is needed, René van der Linden states

Strasbourg, 24/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - During a press conference with the NATO secretary general, the president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, René van der Linden, said that what is needed is a “Franco-German Europe of the Kohl-Mitterrand variety”. “If we discuss money as we did last week, then we shall never make a strong Europe”, the Dutch Christian Democrat said.
