Brussels, 24/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the European Commission adopted a proposal on opening negotiations with Mediterranean countries with a view to liberalising services (transport, telecommunications, financial services, etc.) and investment. The negotiations will be an important stage toward the creation, by 2010, of the free trade area foreseen by the Barcelona Declaration in 1992.
