Brussels, 24/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - As the European Commission has announced (EUROPE 8974), the cereals management committee, composed of representatives from the EU Member States, on Thursday authorised the transfer of 500 000 tonnes of fodder grain from intervention stocks to Spain. It would comprise 200 000 tonnes of wheat, 200 000 tonnes of maize and 100 000 tonnes of barley to cover Spanish needs for animal fodder since the drought the country is facing.
