Brussels, 23/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas has promised that the European Commission would closely examine the amendments submitted by the European Parliament to the proposal for a REACH regulation on the registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemical products, so that the final proposal does not impose too great a burden on the industry, and on SMEs of the sector in particular.
