Brussels, 23/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Luxembourg presidency announced on Thursday that the lengthy negotiations at the Council on adoption of the new System of Generalised Preferences (SGP) for 2006-08 have finally concluded with a political agreement expected to be confirmed next Monday without debate buy the Transport Council. The new SGP will enter into force on 1 January 2006. EUROPE will return to the details of the agreement.
