13/12/2004 (Agence Europe) - On 8 December the European Commission adopted a propsoal to increase over the course of the year, the current total allowable catch (TAC) for lobster fished in the North and Norwegian Seas. In December 2003, the Commission promised Member States affected by the issue (especially the United Kingdom) to increase the TAC 2004 for this species from 18 987 tonnes to 21 350 in the event of new control measures being adopted for lobster and cod.
