Exploratory debates on "Reach" regulation, "Services" and "Cross-border mergers" directives - Towards agreement on control of trade in drug precursors

Brussels, 24/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Competitiveness Council of 25 and 26 November will have a very full agenda. The Economy Ministers of the 25 Member States of the EU will discuss the proposed "Reach" regulation on the marketing of chemicals, and the proposed directives on services in the internal market, and on cross-border mergers in capital companies. Political agreement is anticipated on controls for trade in drug precursors.
