The Hague, 23/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Joint ACP/EU/APP Parliamentary Assembly held a lengthy debate on Monday on the situation in the Sudan. It may decide to sent a joint crisis assessment mission to Darfur. In an effort at conciliation, the two parties reached an agreement on a draft compromise resolution to be adopted on Thursday and which is part of Resolution 1574 adopted by the Security Council during its extraordinary session in Nairobi.
