Council agreement on symbolic volume of deep sea species quotas for new Member States

Brussels, 23/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday the Agriculture and Fisheries Council reached an agreement on 2004 quotas for deep sea fish quotas (black scabbard fish, rock grenadier, blue ling) for Member States that joined the EU in 2004. Poland, Estonia, Latvia and the United Kingdom abstained during the vote. This decision does not change anything concerning 2002 quotas for older EU Member States for 2003-04.
