Carlos Tavares heads GOPA - Anna Melich is Information Policy Adviser

Brussels, 23/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has appointed Carlos Tavares, former Portuguese Minster for the Economy (in the Barroso government) as Director of the president's Group of Policy Advisers (GOPA), while Anna Melich, former official at Eurobarometer, becomes a member of the group as adviser to the president on matters concerning public opinion and information policy.
