23/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - Carlo Andrea Bollino, President of GRTN (Gestore Rete Trasmissione Nazionale) held a meeting on Monday with the Italian MEPs, with whom he spoke of the possible impact that a number of proposals concerning the Trans-European Network (TEN) would have on the Italian system, and especially the proposal for a directive on electricity supply security, modification of the TEN-Energy programme and research in the electricity sector. Strengthening of the electricity networks and international interconnection is one of the priorities of the Italian electricity system, Mr Bollino said on this occasion in a press release.
