23/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - The joint take-over of the Polish bank Gospodarki Zywnosciowej (BGZ) by Rabobank International Holding and the Polish treasury has been authorised by the Commission. The Rabobank group is a Dutch cooperative bank mainly active in financial services. BGZ is a commercial bank, present only in Poland, mainly in small towns and villages, and is specialised in the funding of the agricultural sector, regional infrastructure and SMEs.
