Brussels, 29/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - A conference of the leaders of the European Parliament's political groups held in Strasbourg on Thursday has decided almost unanimously (with the abstention of Danish MEP Jens-Peter Bonde's Independence and Democracy Group) to award the 2004 Sakharov Prize for freedom of thought to the Belarussian Association of Journalists.
