Commission attacks ban on green house producing hydrofluorocarbons in Denmark and Austria under internal market rules

Brussels, 26/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has formally requested that Austria and Denmark justify the ban on hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and perfluorocarbons (PFCs), as well as some refrigeration and air conditioning systems. It has sent a formal request to the two countries informing them that the ban constitutes an infringement on the rules of free movement of goods in the EU.
