After Irish judge's departure, Court has two women and twenty-three men judges - better representation of women in Court of First Instance

Luxembourg, 26/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - The judges of the European Court of Justice, who are appointed by Member States, are for the most part men. Out of 25 judges holding office and after the recent departure of the Irish judge, Fidelma O'Kelly Macken, only two are women. Out of the 33 members of the Court, if one includes the eight advocates-general, there are four women.
