Brussels, 25/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the granting of 10 million EUR in humanitarian aid to the victims of the ongoing conflict in Chechnya. This aid, taken from the ECHO budget (the Community's humanitarian aid office), will go to the most vulnerable populations in central and southern Chechnya, and to displaced persons in Ingushetia and Daghestan.
