French equipment manufacturer ALCATEL will be buying up the shares of the small US company SPATIAL WIRELESS for USD 250 million. This company employs a workforce of 225 and has a turnover of "several millions of dollars". ALCATEL will soon be selling off its electricity supply activities to US investment fund RIPPLEWOOD. Subsidiaries that will be affected have a total turnover of "around EUR 220 million per year " and have a workforce of 1300 in 16 countries.
