British exchange specialist TRAVELEX (turnover of EUR 694.8 million in 2003 with 650 exchange bureaux throughout the world) will be taking over GWK, part of the FORTIS group for EUR 17.5 million. Following this transaction, its French subsidiary BANQUE TRAVELEX will become a shareholder controlling 40% of the number one exchange operator in the Netherlands. GWK achieved a turnover of EUR 14.2 million in 2003 in this domain.
