01/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - On request from the UK, the description of the protected geographical indication for Scotch Beef has been amended to take account of consumer concerns (clearer labelling and a higher quality product). The regulation amending the definition of the protected denomination is published in Official Journal L 232 of 1 July 2004.
