ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) steel

ARCELOR is to pay 578.53 million for the control (61.77%) of the Brazilian CST (turnover of 1.3 billion EUR a year), in which it previously held 28.02% of the capital. ARCELOR also intends to take control next year of ACESITA, another Brazilian company, which specialises in stainless steel, in which it currently has a stake of 27.68%.
