Brussels, 29/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - Chris Patten, European Commissioner for External Relations, started a five-day trip to Asia on Tuesday fir the official inauguration of the EU's delegation to Singapore. In order to move forward on talks on an EU-Singapore bilateral agreement and on preparations for an Asia-European meeting (the next ASEM will open in Hanoi on 8 October), he will meet Mr Goh, the Prime Minister of Singapore, and Mr Yeo, Trade Minister.
