29/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Commissioners of the ten new Member States have taken oath before the European Court of Justice, at a formal ceremony in Luxembourg on 28 June. Their mandate, like that of their colleagues from Greece, Stavros Dimas (Social Affairs), Spain, Joaquin Almunia (Economic and Monetary Affairs), and France, Jacques Barrot (Regional and Cohesion Policy), will end on 31 October, but it is expected that they will be confirmed to remain in the future Commission. It is worth noting that the Commissions from the new Member States are: Danuta Huebner (Poland), Peter Balazs (Hungary), Pavel Telicka (Czech Republic), Jan Figel (Slovakia), Janez Potocnik (Slovenia), Dalia Grybauskaite (Lithuania), Sandra Kalniete (Latvia), Siim Kallas (Estonia), Marcos Kyprianou (Cyprus), Joe Borg (Malta).
