Brussels, 29/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Conference of the Peripheral Maritime Regions (CRPM) will be arranging a meeting of its political bureau on 9 July in Umea (Sweden) Jonas Swedish Secretary of state for Industry, employment and Communication. The President of the CPMR, the President of the Region of Tuscany Claudio Martini and the Governor of Västerbotten Lorentz Andersson who will be introducing the work on the following: 1) the consequences of the elections for the European Parliament and constitutional development affecting the action of the CPMR; 2) orientations for the actions of the European Commission over the period 2007-2013 and their consequences for the future development of the regions; 3) the Dutch and Luxembourg presidencies; 4) Europe of the Sea and the CPMR's strategy; 5) the CPMR's second medium term strategic development plan (2004-2009).
