Brussels, 22/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has adopted a series of communications in the field of competition, published in the OJ of 30 April 2004:
A communication concerning the obsolete nature of some texts on State aid policy (2004/C115/01). Further to adoption of the Commission regulation (EC) No 794/2004, several texts on State aid procedures have become obsolete and the Commission no longer plans to apply them. They concern the obligation to notify, notification procedures including accelerated notification, annual reports, time limits and the recovery of illegal aid.
A communication under Article 19, paragraph 3, of the Council Regulation No 17 concerning the COMP/C.2/38.173 and 38.453 affair - centralised sales of exclusive broadcasting rights for the British first division football championship (2004/C115/02). The Commission invites third parties interested to make their observations known before adopting commitments proposed by the FAPL, and to close the matter.
A communication under Article 8 of the Directive 93/38/EEC (2004/C115/03) which updates the list of services not included in the scope of the directive on coordinaton of procedures for awarding contracts in the water, energy, transport and telecommunications sectors.
