22/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - How can a company that has distributing branches in around twelve different countries in the EU recall a faulty or dangeous product? To answer these kind of questions, a guide has been developed in collaboration with the manufacturers, consumer organisations and government authroities. Subsidised by the European Commission as part of its consumer policy programme, "Product Safety in Europe: a guide to corrective action including recalls", will be presented on 24 June in Brussels. the European Commissioner of rconsumer policy, David Byrne considers this as an excellent example of consumer protection, which goes beyond simple drafts on regulation.
