The commission to incorporate "Basel II" rules on bank solvency

Brussels, 11/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission should present its proposal for the transposition of the new "Basel II" regulations on bank solvency into European legislation in mid-July, says Gerry Cross from the Commission's directorate-general for the internal market at a conference organised by the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS).
