The Commission commits to development of the transport network in the Western Balkans

Luxembourg, 11/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - At a ceremony held in Luxembourg on Friday, Loyola de Palacio signed a memorandum of understanding on the development of the South East Europe Core Regional Transport Network. The memorandum of understanding opens the door to the implementation of a major infrastructure programme for a network of railways and roads across five Balkan countries.
